Managed by Goodbody Asset Management
For some funds that invest in shares or bonds, the assets in that fund may be used for the purpose of securities lending in order to earn an additional return for the fund. While securities lending increases the level of risk within a fund it provides an opportunity to increase the investment return.
ESG & sustainability
Article 8 funds or Light Green Funds are defined as funds which promote environmental or social characteristics (although not exclusively) and which invest in companies that follow good governance practices. The underlying investments do not take into account the EU criteria for environmentally sustainable economic activities.
Manager commentary - March 2026
Marathon Petroleum and Cheniere Energy were the top contributors to performance given the spike in energy prices. Amazon also proved relatively defensive during the period. In contrast, the majority of consumer and industrial holdings were negatively impacted by heightened market volatility. On Holding was a notable underperformer, declining after reporting results and announcing an upcoming management change. Advanced Drainage Systems, which has been a strong performer, also weakened amid concerns that higher oil prices would increase the cost of key raw material inputs.

Common questions about New Ireland Goodbody Global Leaders.
Goodbody Global Leaders invests in a concentrated portfolio of 30-50 global companies with established industry-leading positions. The fund is actively managed and holds equities and some cash. Its approach is to back businesses that already have strong leadership in their industries while seeking long-term capital growth.
Goodbody Global Leaders' top holdings include Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, ASML, Broadcom, Marathon, Nvidia, On Holding, On Semiconductor and Uber Technologies. This shows the fund has meaningful exposure to large global technology, semiconductor, internet, and selected industrial and consumer names. Because it is concentrated, a relatively small number of holdings can have a noticeable impact on returns.
Goodbody Global Leaders is designed for medium to long-term investing, with a recommended horizon of at least 5-7 years. That time frame can help reduce the impact of short-term market swings, although the value of the fund can still rise and fall over time. Investors should be comfortable with equity market volatility.
Goodbody Global Leaders is classified as an Article 8 fund, meaning it promotes environmental or social characteristics and invests in companies that follow good governance practices. The fund does not necessarily invest only in assets that meet the EU definition of environmentally sustainable activities. It also carries sustainability risk, which means environmental, social or governance issues could affect how its holdings perform.
Goodbody Global Leaders stands out because it is concentrated in 30-50 global leaders rather than spread across a very large number of companies. Its recent geographic exposure has included North American, eurozone, other European and U.K. equities. The focus on established industry leaders means the fund is built around businesses with strong competitive positions rather than broad market exposure.
