Indicative equity exposure: Up to 100% of the value of the fund The Indexed European (Ex-UK) Property Fund is a unit-linked fund that gives the opportunity to participate in the performance of some of Europe's leading real estate companies. The fund invests in an iShares Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) managed by BlackRock. The iShares ETF is passively managed and aims to track an index, but will not track it exactly. Zurich Life reserves the right to replace this ETF with another fund at any stage. This fund invests some of its assets outside the eurozone so a currency risk arises for a euro investor. The unit-linked fund can have exposure to cash as part of the management of the fund.

Common questions about Zurich Life Indexed European Ex UK Property.
The Indexed European (Ex-UK) Property Fund invests mainly in an iShares Exchange Traded Fund managed by BlackRock. That underlying ETF gives exposure to some of Europe’s leading real estate companies, including holdings such as Vonovia, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Swiss Prime Site and Klepierre. The fund can also hold some cash as part of its management.
The Indexed European (Ex-UK) Property Fund is passively managed. It aims to track an index through its investment in the iShares ETF, although it will not track the index exactly. This means the fund is designed to mirror a property-market benchmark rather than try to outperform it through stock selection.
The Indexed European (Ex-UK) Property Fund focuses on Europe outside the UK. Its geographic allocation includes countries such as Germany, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Finland, the Netherlands, Austria and Norway, with some exposure also listed across the EU and Ireland. This gives investors broad access to continental European property shares rather than UK real estate stocks.
The main named risk for the Indexed European (Ex-UK) Property Fund is currency risk. This arises because some of the fund’s assets are outside the eurozone, so movements in exchange rates can reduce or increase returns for a euro investor. In plain language, the value of overseas holdings can rise or fall just because currencies move, even if the shares themselves do not change much.
Yes. Zurich Life reserves the right to replace the current iShares ETF with another fund at any stage in the Indexed European (Ex-UK) Property Fund. That means the wrapper of the fund may remain the same, but the underlying investment vehicle could change if the provider decides it is necessary.
