Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Zurich Life Performance.

The Performance Fund invests mainly in a well-diversified portfolio of global equities and equity-based financial instruments, with an indicative equity range of 65% to 90% of the fund. It also invests in bonds issued by governments, supranational bodies, and investment grade corporate and other non-sovereign issuers, plus bond-based financial instruments. In practice, the Performance Fund holds both growth assets and more defensive fixed-income assets.

The Performance Fund invests some of its assets outside the Eurozone, so currency risk arises for a euro investor. Currency risk means exchange-rate changes can reduce or increase returns when overseas investments are converted back into euros. The fund is managed from the point of view of a euro investor, and any hedging that is conducted will be into euros.

The Performance Fund has a global remit and is invested across North America, the Eurozone, Japan, Asia Pacific ex Japan, the UK, Europe, South America, and cash. Its sector exposure includes communications, consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy, financials, health care, industrials, information technology, materials, real estate, and utilities. This broad spread is designed to reduce dependence on any single country or industry.

The Performance Fund's top holdings include NVIDIA, Alphabet, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Broadcom, Meta Platforms, Advanced Micro Devices, ASML Holding, and J.P. Morgan Chase. These names show that the fund has significant exposure to large global technology and financial companies. Because the fund is actively managed by Zurich Life, those holdings may change over time.

The Performance Fund is an actively managed fund, meaning Zurich Life makes investment decisions rather than simply tracking an index. Its aim is to achieve growth through both capital gains and income from a diversified mix of global equities, equity-based instruments, and bonds. The fund's approach combines higher-growth assets with bond holdings to balance return opportunities and risk.
